Artifact 1: Fifth Grade Math Centers

After reflecting on my math instruction at the beginning of this school year, I created a way to provide my students with daily small group instruction on the math concepts they are learning.  This artifact provides evidence of Effective Pedagogy (DM2) because it demonstrates how my knowledge and skills in curriculum design, instruction, and technology can produce student learning.  Using small group instruction in math will help my students to receive instruction that is scaffolded to their individual needs, and shows that I can create effective and meaningful lessons that are aligned with the subject matter and the common core curriculum that is required by the state of Utah.  I believe that this is a strong artifact that demonstrates my ability to create effective and meaningful instruction for all my students.
